The Faith Baptist Character Development Team exists to be the light in our local community. With multiple opportunities available in the community and offered throughout the year, it's our purpose to partner with the community to provide a Biblical framework we can all live by.
Pastor Joseph serves as the chaplain for the Dora High School Football Team. This is something he has been doing since 2022. This has become an opportunity to meet the students "at their level and on their field" with the gospel. The time spent on the practice field, sharing devotionals in the locker room, assisting on the sideline during the games, and ministering to the coaching staff are all opportunities to love God by loving people.
Lauren Howard serves as the chaplain for the Dora High School Girl's Basketball team. Lauren invests in the lives of these girls by spending time with them each at practice, sharing devotionals, praying with them and for their needs, and attending games with the team.
Pastor Zac Bozeman (First Baptist Dora) serves as the chaplain for the Dora High School Men's Basketball team. Zac has the privilege, each week, to spend time with the boys at practice, sharing devotionals, attending games with the team, and ministering to the coaches.
Lauren serves on a team in West Jefferson, providing Biblical teaching through the local First Priority at West Jefferson Elementary. This provides an opportunity for Lauren to get to know the kids of the area as well as minister to their needs.
